There is a compound in marijuana that’s been linked to a range of potential health benefits; it’s called CBD, or cannabidiol. Contrary to what many think at first, CBD is not the component that gets you high; THC is the component that gets you high. CBD has a therapeutic element to it, which is non-addictive and nontoxic, unlike other substances like acetaminophen, which can cause liver damage if taken too often or too much. CBD, served in different delivery systems, is a great alternative supplement. Rocky Mountain High Brands is providing CBD in the popular form of beverages.
“We actually have several different products that we sell on our HEMPd.com product website…and we’re introducing in just a couple of weeks a lineup of CBD-infused beverages.,” says Rocky Mountain High Founder Michael Welch. “That will consist of flavored waters and a plain water…[CBD] relieves pain, it promotes bone growth, it reduces inflammation, it suppresses muscle spasms, it even goes as far as reduces seizures and compulsions.”
The body has an endocannabinoid system, he says, that ties all of our receptors together, and by supplementing the body with CBD through whatever delivery method somebody chooses, they’re basically allowing the endocannabinoid system to operate at a higher level of efficiency. That’s where the pain relief, stress relief, and all of the benefits associated with CBD come into play.
To Michael Welch, CBD should be integrated into one’s healthy lifestyle.
“We’d like to determine a way in which we can integrate our products in our consumers lives so they have tons of different delivery systems,” Welch says. “…We’re looking at health conscious, active individuals.”
